Even better than the last. I recommend when you pick it up you don't have anything else to do for a while because you won't put it down until you are finished. Same was true for the first book "The Geezer Not Done Yet"Product details

Playing With Fire David Tienter Books Reviews
There's an engaging plot packed in this rapid-fire short book. Skills hard won in youth aid our hero in his tracking of a former librarian become sadistic killer. The short, direct sentences keep the story gripping. If you like suspense you'll like this book.
Playing With Fire, by David Teinter
A gripping story, set in the wilds - not for the faint hearted.
Vietnam veteran Matt found while escaping the Vietcong 40 years ago that he had outdoors skills allied to powers of deduction.
We learn he has tracked down a killer in the past, but are given no details (maybe presaging a prequel?), and the victim's widower calls on Matt again to trace his brother, who is missing on the Appalachian Trail.
It transpires that the missing hiker has stumbled across a horrendous crime scene, and barely escaped the murderer, but has been badly injured in the course of the flight.
Matt's takes up the pursuit of the killer - a gargantuan former librarian who discovers a bloodlust after robbing a store for boots he craved. Matt's insights lead him to catch up with the killer, and later pick up his trail following another killing at a campsite they shared, having become friendly after the huge killer steps in to help Matt when he is cornered by a gang intent on revenge for foiling a mugging attempt by their cohorts.
He succeeds where the routine police methods fail, and, eventually, there is the inevitable face-off between the two.
Watch out, though, for a wholly unexpected final twist.
I've become a real fan of Tienter. He writes with a concise, sparse and quick moving style. No nonsense. Just an engaging plot that usually features a character who's in his senior years but still has what it takes to be a tough guy and to face danger full on. Based on the brief author bio it sounds like part of this story is autobiographical. A good read all around. It's about 120 pages, just right for a weekend read.
Playing with Fire is a fast-paced, intense tale about a killer who is committing chilling acts and the war hero on a quest to stop him.
Matt's life is lived on the open road, camping and fishing. He is spending what time he has left enjoying all life has to offer. However, when a friend's brother goes missing, Matt is the first to help. What he uncovers is more than he has bargained for. A veteran and ex-special forces, Matt has been in sticky situations before, but when he encounters a madman whose killing innocent people he fears his end could be near. Can Matt catch a killer before it's too late?
Playing with Fire is well written and rich with detail. The author does a wonderful job creating his main character, Matt. I found him to be an upstanding respectable guy, who is easily likable. I like his ingenious ways of defeating his foes, not matter who they may be. Playing with Fire is extremely captivating and I read the entire story in one afternoon.
I highly recommend picking up a copy.
This book kept my curiosity going..I could not put the book down for hours.
This was a good sequell to "The Geezer, Not Yet Done".
This is a great book. Kept me intrigued and couldn't set it down.
The book is a companion story to the authors 1st book "Not Done Yet". The story is a bit more polished, but has the same grit and realism that holds the readers attention. I like the story line on the main character "Matt" and I hope the author continues to share his experiences with us in the future.
Even better than the last. I recommend when you pick it up you don't have anything else to do for a while because you won't put it down until you are finished. Same was true for the first book "The Geezer Not Done Yet"
